TransUnion and Equifax are two of the three main credit bureaus who stores information about your credit report and score. They use these FICO credit scores to determine your credit worthiness. Experian is the third big credit bureau and they use a different scoring system called the PLUS. It is not as popular as what TransUnion and Experian uses. FICO has a competing scoring company called VantageScore which all three credit bureaus also use to your credit scoring.

If you have a score of 600 or less, you are a high risk borrowers and will most likely have trouble getting good rates on loans and may even be denied for loans. The PLUS system mentioned earlier has a score range of 330 to 830 and the VantageScore which was also mentioned earlier has a range of 501-990. These are less popularly used so you can generally ignore them. The more popular score range is mentioned above of 300-850 where 850 is the highest credit score.
